A Little About Me

Hi, I'm Gina — founder and lead planner of Timeless Events.

I didn't start out planning weddings. I went to school for fashion merchandising, but my career actually took me into logistics, where I spent the next 20 years. It turns out that background was the perfect training ground: two decades of managing timelines, coordinating moving pieces, and solving problems before anyone else even notices there's a problem. Add in the eye for aesthetics and detail I picked up studying design, and event planning ended up being the place where both halves of my background finally met.

The shift wasn't really a pivot so much as a realization. For years I was the one planning parties and gatherings for the people I love, just because I couldn't help myself. Somewhere along the way I stopped calling it a hobby.

There's also a more personal reason I do this work: I know what it's like to look back on your own wedding day and wish a few things had gone differently. Nothing dramatic — just the small stuff that gets missed when you're the one trying to plan and enjoy your own celebration. That feeling is exactly what I work to spare my couples from. My job is to hold every detail so tightly that you never have to think about them — you just get to be present.

My husband and I have lived in a few places that each left their mark — New York City, Memphis, Northern Virginia — but Virginia Beach is where we met, fell in love, and eventually chose to put down roots for good. We're raising our daughter here, alongside two very opinionated Manchester Terriers, and there's still nothing that resets me quite like the coast. That sense of ease and place is something I try to bring into every event, no matter where it's held.

​I'm a visual thinker, so every event I design starts as a sketch before it becomes a seating chart or a vendor timeline. It's how I make sure what you're imagining and what actually gets built on the day are the same thing. From there, I handle the logistics, the vendors, and the inevitable small fires, so you can stay focused on the people in the room.
